The June 2001 publication “Key features of innovation policy as a basis for designing innovation enhancing measures leading Ukraine to a knowledge-based competitive economy – Comparison EU and Ukraine” aims at providing Ukrainian personalities active in designing and implementing innovation policy measures with thorough analysis on innovation policy issues in research and innovation likely to have an impact on Ukraine’s competitiveness. In this brochure excerpts form the project’s analytical work in the areas “Innovation driven, sustainable growth models”; are presented: “Financing innovation”;  “Promoting R&D and innovation: Tax incentives and support services”; “Setting priorities for innovation and technological development”; Networking innovation and business support infrastructure”; “Coordination, roles, and responsibilities within National Innovation System (NIS)”; and “State programmes in research and innovation” are presented. Also strategic policy issues and challenges for discussion and action to look into were drawn. These lay the foundation for the design of innovation enhancing measures leading Ukraine to a knowledge-based competitive economy. The publication is available only in Ukrainian language.

Key expert policy and capacity building

The Publication “International , national, and institutional technology transfer support mechanisms commercializing research results” aims at providing  an overview of international good practices in commercializing research results from companies, research institutes, and universities. Ukrainian personalities may take stock of these experiences gathered when designing and implementing technology transfer mechanism. The material is published in the Journal “The Patent Attorney News” No 5(20) 2010, pages 2-11 (in Ukrainian).
